CALABAR CALA CULTURE DAY-2025

Tuesday, March 4, 2025 is set aside as ‘Cala Culture and Alumni Day’. This is a special day in the school year, where we galvanize COBA members to participate and contribute to the young men presently at Calabar. It is important for them to see past Lions and hear of our stories of attending the school as well as our successes. The theme for 2025 is ‘A Walk Down Memory Lane’. We will be showing highlights of various aspects of Calabar life, both past and present. This is also our way of getting the students to interact with past students and forge a lasting partnership at all levels. The following is the proposed structure for the day: 8:00 a.m. Alumni members will meet at the school’s entrance, we will then have a ceremonial walk onto the campus. 8:15 a.m. Devotional activity begins in the front of the school yard. 9:15 a.m. Students return to their classes. Alumni members are to visit the classes and speak with the young men or conduct an empowerment activity with them. The teacher/s will be present in the classroom. Alumni members can also visit and view the exhibitions in the chapel and other areas of the school. We kindly ask many of our members to set aside some time to share on this day. If possible, a request has been made whereby past Lions are asked to provide and show as many school photos they may have. A slide show presentation is being worked on.
